History

OCS was founded in 1979 by Bill O'Connor with only a couple of lines represented. Two years later, Bill was joined by Marty Herlihy and with sweat and perserverence grew the agency. In 2002 Marty sold his ownership of the company to the current owners. Bill then continued to nurture the agency and his new transition team; and in 2006 he retired from the business.

Over the years, the agency has grown into the #1 and most respected agency in San Diego earning the reputation as the "go to" lighting agency for specifiers, contractors, distributors and the theatrical market.
